Craig Pruess

Craig PruessCraig Pruess is a one-of-kind world musician and composer with an international profile. His original music CDs are sold in over 100 countries and his achievements have covered a wide range of music. He is known as a composer, songwriter, concert and session musician, modern and orchestral arranger/conductor, gold & platinum record producer and sound engineer/sound designer. He has over 30 years experience in composing media music of all styles, often working with Oscar/BAFTA/EMMY winning composers and directors, high profile recording artists, doing sitar recording sessions for Harry Potter and Madonna.

His own scores include the two number one UK box office hits, one being Bend It Like Beckham; world music producing, performing (sitar, keyboards and African percussion). He is one of the few composers trained and steeped in three major musical traditions of the world: Indian classical/fusion music, Western classical/contemporary styles, and all aspects of African music.

Craig has an international reputation as innovator for his original styled Sacred Chants series of music CDs. Many writers, directors and famous inspirational thinkers have used Craig's music in their work: Ekhart Tolle, Anthony Robbins, Shiva Rea, Deepak Chopra, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Brandon Bays, to name a few.

He was nominated for a Grammy Award and British Academy Award. Utilising his knowledge of Indian ragas, Craig also performs regularly with his world fusion trio, At-Ma.Their music combines the delicacy of Indian ragas with mesmerising chants in creative fusion of Sufi, shamanic and African vocal styles. A standing ovation at a capacity-filled Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, Poland, November 2010, underlined the accessibility and popularity of this highly original, spontaneous and evocative music.
